TT in trouble vs CCC
Trinidad and Tobago will battle, desperately, for first innings points today against the Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC).
The local team bowled out the CCC at the Three Ws Oval, Barbados, yesterday for a paltry 153 but were struggling at 95 for 6.
Ravi Rampaul had excellent figures of 6 for 44 and he will be relied on for some lusty lower order hitting today
With Jamaica having already won the West Indies Cricket Board regional four-day title T&T with 66 points are eyeing second place but will have to win outright to achieve this.
The T&T cricketers are in third place nine points behind the Windward Islands.
Masters Golf
Trinidad-born professional golfer Stephen Ames, now officially campaigning as a Canadian, was three under and out of the running for the first golf major for the year.
The US Masters being held in Augusta Georgia. Ames who shot a one over par 73 on the first day with one eagle, one birdie and four bogeys went on to score a 4 under par 68 with five birdies and a lone bogey on the 15th hole.
Easter Monday Horse Racing
A bumper crowd is expected on Monday to witness the 10 races on show with 143 horses being entered for the day. The feature races, The Flamingo and The Ibis stakes, will showcase the very best 3-year-old horses as this is the last major races before the first leg of the triple crown for them.
Post time is 11:30 am and there will be three Hi-5 races, which could leave punters very happy. There is also a carry over in the Pick 6 competition as there have been no winners for the last three weeks.
