Bravo, Pollard light up New Delhi
Bravo and Pollard displayed their considerable skills in a match for their Mumbai Indian team, 24 hours after arriving in India. They helped the team to its highest score and were responsible for four wickets between them.
Twenty four hours after arriving in New Delhi after a long flight from the Caribbean and staving off jet lag, the Trinidad and Tobago duo, Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard, made their presence felt in the Indian Premier League T20 match between their team Mumbai Indians and the Delhi DareDevils.
First of all, the dynamic duo helped to push the score late in the innings to a record 218 for 7 after a blistering start by captain Sachin Tendulkar who score a 32 ball 63.
When the Delhi DareDevils went in to bat Virenda Schewag and Tillekaratne Dilshan began battering the bowling . Dilshan was bowled by Malinga and in the seventh over Bravo made a double strike. He removed the dangerous Schewag who was caught in the deep and two balls later bowled A.B.Devilliers. He and Pollard effectively reduced the scoring rate which was then around 12 runs per over. Pollard took one wicket for 19 and Bravo 2 for 11.
Bravo also spectacularly run out P. J. Sangwan.
Good going fellas.
Other Caribbean Stars, Chris Gayle, Kemar Roach, Adrian Barath and Dwayne Smith will be in action for their teams soon.
