WI go for consolation win

WI try to save face after a bad beating. They continue to make history for the wrong reasons.

Is it glorious coup de grace for the world’s worst cricket team, Bangladesh, today?

They take on what is seen as an inept third string West Indies side in the third One Day International (ODI) at Warner Park, St Kitts, this morning and the good betting is on the Bangladesh tigers, the whipping boys of world cricket.

Bangladesh has beaten the West Indies in the first two ODIs. The second was a closely fought affair with the West Indies rattling up 274 for 6, thanks to a fine century from Travis Dowling but they were let down by some poor bowling. This enabled Bangladesh to get home comfortably with six balls remaining. It was their biggest ODI score.

Bangladesh has already swept the Test series 2-0. However, the West Indies will be aiming for a consolation win after all this depressing punishment.
