Two Independence Day murders

One man was killed in Laventille and the other in Enterprise, Chaguanas. Vacationers flee fire at Mayaro beach hotel.

Crime did not take a holiday on Independence Day.

Two murders were reported-so far. One occurred at Trou Macacaque around 3 a.m. when Allan John was beaten to death by a group of men. And the body of an unidentified youth was found with a bullet wound to the head in a road at Enterprise, Chaguanas.

And at Mayaro, guests had to flee when a fire destroyed five apartments at the Sunset Beach resort on Sunday.
